Type species: Helicocollum surathaniensis Luangsa-ard, Mongkols. Noisrip. & Tanak.

Etymology: ‘Helico + collum (Latin)’ referring to the phialide that has a spiral neck.

Description: Stromata pulvinate or tomentose to planar, in various shades of cream, yellow or ochre. Sporodochia and indeterminate synnemata present. Synnemata erect, crowded, sparse or lacking. Conidiophores are formed in a loose layer on an indeternimate synnemata or hyphae. Conidiogenous structures (phialides) pear-shaped, subulate or narrowly obclavate with helical necks. Conidia cylindrical or fusoid, dry or with thin mucoid coating.

Host: scale insects (Hemiptera).

Habitat: on the underside of monocotyledonous or dicotyledonous plants.

Sexual state: Unknown.
