Habitat:
Solitary, growing under Dipterocarpaceae or mixed deciduous forest.
Description:
Pileus 6-42 mm, convex, surface dry, applanate, ventricose, smooth, solid, moderate yellow. Pore surface white. Stipe 7 × 56 mm, central, flexuous, moderate yellow, egual. Pileus surface unchanged on bruising, turning violet in 3% KOH. Stipe surface unchanged on bruising, turning green in 3% KOH. Context pallid to light yellowish, usually unchanging in color when cut but turning pale reddish to pale reddish purple in some areas over the course of 1-2 h.
Basidiospores 3.8-5.0 × 10.0-12.5 µm, ellipsoid to fusiform, inequilateral, slightly thick-walled, purple to purplish red in H2O, purplish violet in 5% KOH.
Basidia 7.5-10.0 × 20.0-27.5 µm, 2-4 spored, clavate.
Pleurocystidia 10.0-12.5 × 45.0-67.5 µm, subfusiform to ventricose-rostrate or lageniform, slightly thick-walled, hyaline, apex mostly with incrustations, sometimes with secondary septations. Cheilocystidia not observed.
Pileipellis composed of filamentous hyphae 5.0-10.0 × 42.5-67.5 µm, branched, septate, thin-walled, hyaline. Stipitipellis composed of filamentous hyphae 2.5-5 × 27.5-52.5 µm, branched, septate, thin-walled, hyaline. Clamp connections absent.
