Description:
Fruit body medium to large. Pileus 42-111 mm diam, ovoid, convex to broadly convex at early stage, becoming broadly convex to applanate with flat or slightly depressed at center, smooth, slimy, moist to semi-moist, pale yellow to moderate yellow, unchanged after brushing, margin striate, up to ⅓ of the pileus, context white, unchanged after bruising. Lamellae free, crowded, white to cream in colour, unchanged after brushing, regular, edge even, concolorus, lamellulae one, truncate. Stipe 130-170 × 10-15 mm, central, more or less equal, cylindrical, sometimes slightly tapering at apex, white to cream or off white, turned yellowish to brown yellow after brushing, greenish white to yellowish white or pale yellow green; surface cover by squamous, off white to brown, fibrillose; context hollow, white. Volva saccate, 40-60 × 30-40 mm, membranous, persistence, flashy at early stage, outer surface white to off white, inner surface brownish. Spore-print white or cream.
Basidiospores 7.5-11.9 × 7.3-11.3 µm, Q = 1.01-1.14, globose, subglobose to broadly ellipsoid, thin walled, smooth, mostly I-gutta, apiculus prominent, yellowish with KOH, inamyloid.
Basidia 37.5-52.5 × 10.0-12.5 µm, clavate to subclavate or sometimes cylindrical, thin walled, hyaline, oil granule presents with KOH, 4-spored, clamp-connection present at base, sterigmata 7.0-10.0 × 1.8-2.8 µm, cylindrical. Lamellae edge sterile. Lamellae trama bilateral, divergent, lamellae trama composed with filamentous hyphae and inflated cells, hyphae 5.0-7.5 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, branched, inflated cell 45.5-112.5 × 12.5-20 µm, thin walled, hyaline. Lateral trama composed with 35.0-67.5 × 10.0-12.5 µm, clavate to subclavate, sometimes cylindrical, thin walled, hyaline, hyphae 3.75-8.8 µm wide, filamentous, thin walled, hyaline, branched. Subhymenial 7.5-37.5 × 5.0-32.5 µm, globose to subglobose, 2-3 layers, thin walled, hyaline. Pileipellis 2-layered, subpellis 45-63.0 µm deep, composed of tightly arranged hyphae, 5.0-8.8 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, branched, septate, clamped, suprapellis 100-138 µm deep, composed with erect to sub erect hyphae, 5.0-7.5 µm, radially arranged, thin walled, cover by a gelatinized layer. Stipitipellis composed of hyphae 3.8-6.8 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, branched, hyaline, inflated cells 50-113 × 15.0-28.0 µm, thin walled, hyaline, oil granules present with KOH. Volva,
outer layer composed of tightly arranged hyphae and inflated cells, hyphae 2.5-7.5 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, branched, septate, clamped, inflated cell 28.0-88.0 × 12.5-55.0 µm, globose to sub-globose or clavate to ellipsoid, thin walled, hyaline, abundant,
inner layer similar to the outer part but inflated cell not abundant like outer part. Annulus outer and inner part composed with filamentous hyphae, 3.8-7.5 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, inflated cell 18-53 × 12.5-30 µm in outer part, inner part 28.0-110 × 15.0-38.0 µm, subglobose to ellipsoid, sometimes ellipsoid, thin walled, hyaline.
