Habitat:
Solitary, growing under mixed deciduous forest.
Description:
Fruit body small to medium. Pileus 40-60 mm in diam, convex to hemispherical at very early stage, becoming, broadly convex to plano-convex or applanate at maturity, pale yellow, light yellowish pink to yellowish white, turned brown to slightly radish brown after bruising; surface warty, dense at centre, becoming smaller toward margin; margin regular, non-striate; context thinner toward margin, white. Lamellae free, crowded, regular, white; edge even, concolorus; lamellulae 2-3 in a series. Stipe 130-140 × 15-17 mm, central, cylindrical, sometimes slightly tapering toward pileus, yellowish white to pale yellow, truned slight brownish after bruising; surface cover with squamules, conical at lower side, becoming furfuraceous toward pileus; context white; base bulbous 40-50 mm wide, cover with conical to verrucose squamules. Annulus present at upper part, skirt like, white, fragile. Odour unknown. Spores print not recorded.
Basidiospores 5.6-8.7 × 5.0-7.5 µm, Q = 1.11-1.33, subglobose, broadly ellipsoid, sometimes ellipsoid, thin walled, hyaline, I-gutta, oil granules present with KOH, Aapiculus prominent, 0.5-0.7 µm long, amyloid.
Basidia 40-60 × 7.5-11.3 µm, clavate to sub-clavate, sometimes cylindrical, thin walled, hyaline; 4-spored, sterigmata 1.8-4.4 µm long, cylindrical. Lamellae edge sterile. Lamellae trama bilateral, divergent; cortex composed with hyphae, 20-30 µm wide, hyphae 2.5-5.0 µm wide, thin walled, branched, intermixed with some inflated cells. Sub-hymenium composed with cylindrical or ellipsoid cells, 7.5-18.0 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline. Hymenium composed with globose to sub-globose or inflated cells, 11.0-20.0 × 10-15.0 µm, 2-3 layers, thin walled, hyaline. Pileipellis composed with radially arranged hyphae, 2 layered, subpellis tightly arranged hyphae, 50.0-70.0 µm wide; hyphae 1.3-6.8 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, non-gelatinized; suprapellis 20-40.0 µm wide, composed wilt loosely arranged hyphae, 3.8-10.0 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, branched.
Stipitipellis composed with hyphae, 2.5-10.0 µm wide, thin walled, hyaline, branched, septate, oil granules present with KOH, hyphal end bulbous, clavate or sub-clavate, 25-50 × 15-33 µm, thin walled, hyaline. Clamp-connection absent.
