Description:
Pileus 25–80 × 22–70 mm, pulvinate to plane, surface sticky, smooth, spongy, brownish grey at disc, brownish orange at margin; margin even. Pore surface brownish orange; pores angular, 2/mm. Stipe 65–90 × 12–20 mm, central, clavate, flexus, brownish orange, punctate, firm, solid. Pileus surface unchanged on bruising, turning yellow in 3% KOH. Stipe surface unchanged on bruising, turning yellow in 3% KOH. Basidiospores 5 × 7.5-12.5 µm, elliptical, thin walled. Basidia 5–7.5 × 15–22.5 µm, clavate, four-spored. Pleurocystidia 7.5–12.5 × 27.5–32.5 µm, fusoid to subfusoid, ventricose to ventricose-rostrate or narrowly cylindrical. Pileipellis composed of filamentous hyphae 5–7.5 µm wide, unbranched, non-septate, thin-walled, hyaline. Stipitipellis composed of filamentous hyphae 5–7.5 µm wide, unbranched, septate, thin-walled, hyaline.
