Description:

Basidiomata solitary, pileus 30–52 mm in diameter, initially obtusely conical to distinctly mucronate, later expanding with a reflexed margin, bearing a conspicuous ridged and acutely pointed perforatorium; surface dark grayish yellow, glabrous, finely striate, and becoming rimose with age. Lamellae ivory-colored, up to 8 mm broad, crowded, with interspersed lamellulae of varying lengths. Stipe 25–50 × 18–45 mm, cylindrical, abruptly bulbous at the base where attached to the substrate, solid; surface white, covered with fibrous–scaly textures and longitudinal ridges. Pseudorhiza elongated, 20–60 mm, tapering downwards, grayish in coloration. Partial veil absent. Spore deposit ivory. Basidiospores 5–7 × 3–4 µm, ovo-ellipsoid, hyaline, with finely granular contents. Basidia 22–34 × 7–8 µm, elongate-clavate, four-spored.
