Description:
Basidiocarps foliose, lobate-gyrose, gelatinous, light- to reddish-brown, 10–38 mm diam., consistently occurring in association with Hypoxylon spp. Basidia predominantly ellipsoid to oval, occasionally subglobose or fusiform, 12–22 × 10–12 µm; obliquely septate, 2-spored, with absent or very short sterigmata; arranged in chains of 2–6(–8), typically with 1–3 basidia retaining cytoplasm while the distal basidia above are collapsed; interbasidial necks frequently present; terminal basidia often bearing apical protuberances; clamped. Basidiospores fusiform, tapering at both ends, 15–18 × 5–7 µm, germinating by repetition and budding. Secondary spores subglobose, broader than long, 6.5–7 × 7–8 µm, thin-walled, hyaline, smooth.
