Conidia in chains, ellipsoidal, white, 1.5–3 × 1–2 μm.

Culture characteristics:

Colonies on PDA moderately fast-growing, ca. 3 cm diam in 14 d at 25 °C, pale yellow pink, consisting of a basal felt and cottony, floccose overgrowth, reverse strong orange. Prostrate hyphae smooth, septate, hyaline, 2–3 μm diam. Conidial structures consisting of erect conidiophores usually arising from the aerial hyphae, verticillate with phialides in whorls of two to five. Phialides on PDA 5–12) × 1–3 μm, flask-shaped, tapering into long necks. Conidia on PDA in chains, oval with a pointed end, 1-celled, white, 1.5–3 × 2–3 μm.
