Description:

Basidiomata medium-sized, pileus 42–55 mm in diam., convex to ovoid in early stages, expanding to broadly convex or plano-convex with a slightly depressed disc; surface smooth to pruinose, coloration greenish-grey, greyish-yellow, greyish-green, occasionally reddish-grey at the center, fading toward the margin to greyish-white, yellowish-white, grey, or sometimes whitish; surface unchanging when bruised; chemical reactions: turning orange with 10% KOH, light pinkish with guaiacol. Margin undulate, cracked at maturity, striate. Context up to 5 mm thick at pileus center, white to off-white, unchanging upon exposure. Lamellae adnate, up to 8 mm wide, regular, occasionally bifurcate near stipe; white, unchanging when bruised; edges smooth, concolorous; lamellulae absent or present in a single tier. Stipe 26–50 × 10–16 mm, central, more or less equal, cylindrical, sometimes with a slightly bulbous base; surface smooth to pruinose, white, unchanging on bruising; chemical reactions: turning yellow with 10% KOH, light pinkish with guaiacol. Context firm, white, becoming light yellowish upon exposure. Odor indistinct. Taste mild. Spore print white to off-white.
