Description:

Basidiomata small sized 1.0–2.2 cm diam., subglo¬bose to ovoid, with greyish white rhizoids at the base. Peridium surface (outer peridium) fibrillose to arachnoid, off-white to pinkish white, dull, moist, cracked in places. Peridium very thin, 0.1 mm thick. Stipe absent. Taste not observed. Odour not observed. Macrochemical reactions: hymenophore turned dark pink when brushed, turned to greyish vio¬let with 3% KOH. Basidiospores 12–15 × 10–13, ellipsoid to broadly ellip¬soid with longitudinal ridges, stellate in polar-view, thick-walled, yellowish to orangey hyaline to reddish yellow at first, reddish to brownish yellow with age in water, slightly reddish to brownish in 5% KOH. Basidia4–spored, 24–35 × 8–10 μm, clavate to cylindrical, hyaline in 5% KOH. Cystidia none observed. Hymenophoral trama 54–128 μm thick, irregular, with a narrow, central layer of subparallel to loosely interwoven, 3–7 μm wide, thin-walled hyphae, slightly gelatinised, hyaline in 5% KOH. Clamp connections absent.
