Holotype:

THAILAND, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khao Yai National Park, 24 Jun. 2013, K.Tasanathai, S. Mongkolsamrit, P.Srikitikulchai, A. Khonsanit, W. Noisripoom, holotype BBH 37409.


Habitat:

Underside of leaves.


Host:

Hymenoptera (ant).


Description:

A single stroma arises from dorsal pronotum, up to 25 mm in length, dark-brown at the base becoming pale purple at the tip of the stroma. The fertile region of lateral cushion is hemispherical, pale to dark-brown, darkening with age, variable in size, up to 2 mm diam. Ascomata immersed, fusoid-ellipsoid with rounded ostioles, 280-300 × 100-150 mm, with ostioles slightly protruding on the surface of the plate, asci cylindric, eight-spored, 125-165 × 12.5-15 mm, ascospores lanceolate with rounded ends, 45-50 × 6-8 mm, 7-8 septates, remaining whole after discharge. The asexual morph, Hisutella-A type produced laterally on upper stromata, phialide cylindrical, tapering to long neck, up to 25 mm long, 2-3 mm wide, conidia hyaline, fusiform, 5-6 × 1-2 mm. Hisutella-C type produced from brown cushions (sporodochia) on the joint of legs and antennal joints, phialide slender cylindrical tapering to long, up to 50 mm long, up to 5.5 mm wide, conidia hyaline, fusiform to narrowly lemoniform, averaging 9 × 5 mm.
