Holotype:
THAILAND.
Habitat:
Leaf litter.
Host:
On Lepidoptera larvae.
Description:

Stromata single, arising from abdomen of host, up to 30 mm long, 0.5–1.5 mm broad, wide at base, tapering to round tip, yellow brown at bas becoming cream brown at fertile apex.
Perithecia produced on the upper part of the synnema, superficial, ovoid, 390–500 × 250–320 μm.
Asci hyaline, cylindrical, 8-spores, 130–210 × 4–8 μm, with cap 3–5 × 4–5 μm. Ascospores hyaline, whole, filiform, septate, septate, extending the length of ascus. Asexual morph: Conidiogenous cells monophialidic, hyaline, smooth-walled, subulate, hirsutella-like, 14.5–40 × 2–5 μm. Conidia hyaline, smooth-walled, ellipsoidal, cylindrical with round ends, 7–12 × 2–4 μm. Helicosporous synanamorph occurring on host body and base of synnema. Conidia produced singly at tip of terminal conidiogenous cells, cochleate, hyaline to pale brown, 60–100 μm long, 2–5 μm broad.
Culture characteristics:
Colonies on PDA attaining a diam of 8–12 mm in 30 d, circular, spare aerial mycelium, pale brown, reverse pale brown. The helicosporous synanamorph was observed in culture.
