Habitat:
Underside of dicotyledonous leaves.
Host:
Whitefly nymphs (Hemiptera).
Description:

Stromata circular, flattened-discoid, brown to dark brown, ≤1–3 mm diam and 0.5–1 mm high, margin undulate, base slightly constricted; internally hyaline to whitish-coloured. Hypothallus membranous, slight or thickened, 0.5–1 mm thick, pale yellow. 
Perithecia crowded, immersed, 200–430 × 100–200 μm, elongate flask-shaped, ostioles slightly projecting, translucent dark-brown. 
Asci 8-spored, ≤200 × 10–12 μm. 
Ascospores whole, non-fragmenting, 80–100 × 1.5–2 μm, blunt at upper end tapering to base.
Culture characteristics:

Colonies on PDA attaining a diam of 5 mm in 4 wk. Stromatic colonies pale brown, forming moderately compact stromata. Conidial masses pale brown, appearing as abundant slimy masses from immersed pycnidia scattered over surface.
