Description:
Basidiocarps perennial, pileate, sessile, woody-hard in consistency, lacking any distinctive odor or taste when dry. Pileus up to 42 × 18 mm, firm, context brown, tissue darkening in KOH. Hymenophore poroid. Hyphal system dimitic. Generative hyphae hyaline, thin-walled, simple-septate, occasionally branched, 2–3 µm diam., lacking clamp connections. Skeletal hyphae thick-walled with a broad lumen, unbranched, 3–5 µm diam. Hymenial setae absent. Basidiospores subglobose, 3–5 × 3–4 µm, yellowish, thick-walled, smooth; spore wall yellowish-brown, becoming dark reddish-brown in KOH.
