Description:

Basidiome annual, sessile, dimidiate, flabelliform, often imbricate, measuring up to 115 × 70 × 5 mm. Pilear surface dark grayish reddish brown to grayish reddish brown, magin moderate yellowish brown, becoming yellowish-brown to brown toward the base; conspicuously zonate, sulcate, glabrescent in older specimens, thinning toward the margin; margin irregular, often lacerate to serrate. Hymenial surface white in youth, turning cream-yellow with age; poroid in young basidiomes, becoming daedaloid to lamellate at maturity, fertile to the margin; tubes concolorous with the hymenial surface, up to 2.5 cm in length. Context yellowish-brown, floccose, up to 0.3 cm thick. Hyphal system trimitic. Skeletal hyphae light yellow, thick-walled, aseptate, unbranched, 3.5–6.25 µm diam. Binding hyphae hyaline, thick-walled, aseptate, branched with short lateral branches, 3.5 × 2.5 µm diam. Generative hyphae hyaline, thin-walled, branched, septate with occasional clamp connections, 2.5–5 µm diam. Basidia clavate, 30 × 6 µm, bearing four sterigmata. Basidiospores cylindrical, hyaline, thin-walled, smooth, 11 × 2 µm.
